Shady Lane, connecting the village of Evington with the ancient Gartree Road.  The view here is from Evington
towards the Gartree Road and Oadby, looking across the bridge over the stream. The date of the earlier photograph is
unknown. The colour photograph was taken in August 2006.

Given the mode of dress of the young man sitting on the bridge, it would seem unlikely that he was an employee of the nearby Powys-Keck estate.  

Perhaps he was the photographer's assistant.
